Triplen Harmonic Solutions
Triplen harmonics is an unbalance problem that causes faults of electronic systems. In industrial applications, the voltage between neutral and earth is requested to be below 2 V. Neutral ground voltage usually has 3 different causes;
- • Unbalance loading between phases.
- • Triplen harmonics (the odd multiples of the third harmonic (h = 3, 9, 15, 21, . . .)
- • Grounding failure and leakage currents
- • Triplen harmonic problems can be solved with 4-pole active filters, static VAR generators or specific designed transformers.
